Beautiful Cayucos

Cayucos, Ca
 1st time at the beach

I love his face in this one
 Lacy (I love this face!)

Cayucos, California is the type of place where the weather is cool but you can still get a tan, doggies are allowed on the beach, and you can walk a couple of steps to amazing sea food (smoked fish tacos to be exact). Lee & I spent a total of 5 days in Cayucos going to the beach, visiting Morro Bay and eating sea food at every chance we had. We had a blast! We miss it already!
Lee's family joined us and we had a so much fun watching the puppies enjoy the ocean.
Flynn was a little unsure of why water was rushing at him and why his paws were sinking in the sand when the wave was pulling back. I swear I can tell what he's thinking just by his facial expressions.
He enjoyed biting the seaweed and making the little bulbs pop, chasing the birds (our feet were killing us at the end of this trip), naps after a long day at the beach ~he would instantly be knocked out as soon as his head hit the bed.

Song with Sisters

As I was cleaning up my hard drive I came across this wonderful blast from the past video of my sisters and I singing at our church in Vacaville. I miss singing with them! Right after the performance Amanda said "she was officially retiring from ever singing in public again." I guess she didn't enjoy finding her inner "man voice" to sing the bass line of this song. What I enjoyed most about this video was not the crazy blackbirds flying across the screen behind us, making my camera (which was on Auto-focus "note to self, turn Auto-focus off next time") go insane throughout the whole song. It was the fact that you can clearly see Amanda's ADD as she literally turned around and watched the screen behind us right in the middle of our song.
To my family, I miss all of you so much and I truly cherish these moments we had growing up.
Love You!

Happy 4th of July!

Hanging out in the heat, while Daddy BBQ's yummy ribs!

Obviously everyone knows it's hot in Vegas but you can just tell how hot it actually was just by the look of Flynn's face.

"I love Air Conditioning"

"I love daddy even more!"

This was a nice and relaxing 4th of July. We hung out and ate yummy bbq, met up with some friends and walked over to the park and watched the fireworks at Red Rock. It was gorgeous! We decided to take Flynn with us and he actually was more concerned about the huge crowds then the loud sounds from the fireworks. He's such a good boy! All in all, awesome 4th!

25 Years! Party Time!

Happy 25th Anniversary Mom & Dad!

A couple of weeks ago, my sisters and I planned a surprise anniversary party for our parents. Thanks to the secret work of Aunt Cheryl "Roger that, Big Bird!" we prepared the house for family and friends to come and party. I drove 9 1/2 hours from Vegas and it was totally worth seeing the reaction on my Mom's face. This was the second time I had seen my Mom in the past year and the first that I had seen my Dad. Thank you to all the people who drove a ways to come and celebrate with us.
Mom & Dad, I love you so much and I miss you a ton! I can't wait to see you!
Doesn't her expression just want to make you cry?

Exciting Day in Vegas

Our friends Jenn and Jeremy were here visting from Nashville. On our way down to the strip to meet them for dinner, Lee noticed Bret Michaels' tour bus and so I quickly snapped a couple pics. I have to admit, at one time I was addicted to Rock of Love! Embarrassing!
We had such a good time catching up with Jenn and Jeremy. We had dinner at Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris Casino and then walked around the strip afterwards. We caught the water show in front of the Bellagio and tried to figure out what the Bellagio's theme was. Every other casino has a specific theme that is clear in its decorations. The Bellagio had flowers, butterflies, balloons and circus rides. Pretty but Weird! I still can't figure it out.
I was glad we were able to meet them and catch up a little. Can't wait for New York!

I hate bees!

So this is how it all began... we were going for our afternoon walk with Flynn and whenever we come across a stick, no matter what size, Flynn has to pick it up and carry it for the rest of the walk. Believe me I have a pile of them on the side of my home. However, this time we came across a big stick and he immediately picked it up and started proudly walking off with it. He dropped it a couple of times and then finally stopped and started chewing it. (He's still teething) So then I pointed it out to Lee so he can grab it from him. Lee held it for a second and then calmly said to me "the sticks humming." What???? Yeah umm the stick sounded like it was filled with bees. I started freaking out and I immediately told Lee to chuck it and get rid of it. Luckily this story has a good ending thanks to my hubby's quick thinking and strong baseball throw.
