24 Weeks Pregnant

I feel amazing at 24 weeks pregnant and also celebrating my 25th birthday with the most amazing hubby in the whole world. He bought me some of the cutest maternity clothing and planned an amazing dinner at a local French restraunt (he did all of this while also going through training in Baltimore) Way to go Babe!
Like I said before, I am loving and enjoying every day of being pregnant. I can't believe that I'm almost in my 3rd trimester already! It's going by so fast! I still have so much to do before the baby girl arrives. Ahh!

Lee busy in the nursery

Thank you to Lee's Parents for the beautiful bassinet! I can't wait until the baby girl is here to enjoy it.

Thank you to my parents for the beautiful crib! I can't wait to put the pretty bedding on it.

So here's a little sneak peak of the nursery! The walls are a light green and our baby girl's bedding is different shades of pink and green and yellow birds. It's super cute!
I'm planning on adding a tree decal to the right corner of the room and hanging her initials (that I made... I'll post those pictures later) from a tree branch.

Easter

Happy Easter!

I was so lucky to have my parents and my little sis come and visit me in Vegas. I was so glad they were able to come down and apend time with me and see the nursery (at least the beginning stages of the nursery). Sadly, Lee wasn't able to spend a lot of time with them because of work :(
I kept up the candy filled easter basket tradition and even made one for my parents.
Thanks again Mom, Dad and Lyss for coming down to spend time with me. Love you!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patty's Day! Even though I couldn't savor a nice cold guiness we still celebrated Lee's heritage in style. However, we weren't able to get into a local pub :( All I wanted was some bread pudding! All the pub's turned into night clubs... Lee was so pissed. All we wanted to do was listen to some live Irish music, (Lee-drink), and eat some yummy food. We decided not to attend the annual Flogging Molly concert this year because of the smokey room. But at least we spent it together!

18-19 Weeks Pregnant

Lee and I are so excited to have a baby girl. She is already stealing both of our hearts. We both love her so much and are counting down the days until we can hold her in our arms. I know that she will be Daddy's little girl just by hearing the way Lee talks about her.
I'm just starting my 19th week of pregnancy and am loving every moment. I love feeling her move around in there (especially after I have eaten fruit). A couple of nights ago I was lying on the futon with Flynn and she kicked really hard towards him. He didn't react to any movement but I thought it was pretty funny. I am also absolutely loving the belly band which allows me to still wear my favorite jeans (unbuttoned and unzipped). My current cravings are fresh fruit, an avocado sandwich and the lime popsicles from Trader Joes. I didn't even wait till the weather warmed up to have them... There was no way I could've waited til Summer.
Lately, I have been having a hard time sleeping. I have a maternity pillow that helped me with my lower back pain but lately I have been waking up with my hips throbbing. Plus, now that I have to sleep on my sides I'm remembering all of the past shoulder injuries I had. My shoulders are sore and have even popped out a couple of times. Even the shoulder that I had surgery on is bugging me. Ahh! Other than that, I really can't complain about any symptoms. This pregnancy has been wonderful and enjoyable.
Lately, I have been spending most of my time on Pinterest looking for decorating ideas for Shannon's room. I think I have narrowed it down to color pallets and little decorative touches. However, now I need to find a crib, bedding, and pretty much everything else. We are planning on visiting our future favorite store, Babies R Us next weekend! Can't wait!

It's a Girl!

Meet Our Baby Girl!

I have been so bad about blogging lately. However, I thought today would be a good day to share my exciting news.
We're having a Girl! We've already picked out a name for our beautiful baby girl.
Shannon Marie
I am so excited to start decorating the nursery and buy girl clothes.

I am half way through my 18th week of pregnancy and I feel fantastic. I have been so blessed with a really easy laid back pregnancy. I haven't felt nauseous at all, in fact I am always hungry. I can't believe that I am almost half way through the whole pregnancy. It has flown by so fast... I'm trying to enjoy the experience of being pregnant!

Catching Up...With BIG News!

I realized that I have been slacking on my blogging so this post is going to be everything piled into one.

School Performances
The first two weeks of December were our Winter Performances for Pre-School (my 3 year olds) and Pre-K (my 4 year olds). They worked so hard on learning all of the songs and the choreography! I was so glad to see it all come together in the end. They looked amazing! My little Pre-S kids were snowflakes and snowmen. They looked so adorable. My Pre-K kids were dressed as Peppermint Candy, sailors, they sang Shirley Temple's song "The Good Old Ship Lollipop", and then Gingerbread. I have to say that my favorite part was the finale song "Marshmallow World". We surprised our kids with a snow machine to shower them with bubbles during the performance. It was so much fun and the kids loved it! Here's a couple pictures of my little ones:

BIG NEWS:
I'm pregnant! I found out that I was preggo literally a couple of days before my big performances! I had to wait 2 weeks to confirm it at the doctor's office. We had our first ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks and we even heard the heart beat. (Which people keep telling me that it was way early to even hear it, but we did... it was beating strong at 120 beats per min.) The moment the doctor showed me the little white dot on the screen which was our baby, I started to cry. Then when she played the heart beat over the speakers, I lost it. I honestly can't think of any words to describe how I felt at that moment. I just can't wait to meet him or her! (I love you so much already baby boy or girl...)
Right now, I feel amazing. I am currently 9 1/2 weeks and haven't experience any morning sickness at all. I do experience fatigue and soreness in my lower back but other than that I am pretty lucky. I feel like I am already beginning to show a little bit too.

Christmas & New Years:
This year as soon as I got out of school I drove all the way up to Woodland (9 1/2 hours) to spend a week with my family. I was waiting to tell them the big news in person. I had to wait all day because my sister didn't get home until late. I gave them our first ultrasound picture of the baby and they all freaked, they're so excited! They already started placing bets on the sex. (Amanda thinks it's a girl, Alyssa thinks it's a boy).
That trip to Woodland was fun and very relaxing. Even though, my allergies started acting up (thank you nor-cal trees) It was all worth it to spend time with my family.
For New Years, Lee's parents drove to Vegas to celebrate the exciting news and Lee's 26th Birthday. We gave them their ultrasound picture and they started to cry which of course made me cry too. They were so happy and excited for us! We were so excited to finally share the good news with all of our families. It was so hard keeping this news from them.

(Flynn actually loved getting his picture taken. He just sat there and posed. Who knows maybe he's the next top doggie model...)

Lee's Birthday:
It's actually not until January 7th but we had to celebrate it early because Lee sadly has to work on his birthday. :(  However, while his parents were here in town visiting we went to one of our favorite dining places. Fogo De Chao! It's the best Brazilian Steak House restaurant ever. In the past month we have already been there twice. Then we came home and finished up the night with a slice of homemade yellow cake with chocolate frosting (Lee's favorite). The rest of the weekend was spent lounging around our backyard in the beautiful weather.

So here I am back at school, which I'm actually glad of because I love my kids and plus the day goes by much quicker when you have things to do. However, I am already missing those afternoon naps and time to actually work out.
Well, I think I have caught everyone up on my life. Hopefully the next post doesn't take as long.

Happy New Year!
